Selling LED downlights to North America, Europe, and Australia at the same time? With complete lamps, you’d need three different products — each with its own certified driver, its own testing report, and its own stock keeping unit.
One Housing, Three Drivers, Three Markets
With ECO LED Kit, you use the same housing for all three markets. You only change what goes inside:
- North America — Install a UL/ETL-certified driver + Energy Star listed LED module
- Europe — Install a CE/EMC/RoHS driver + ENEC/TUV certified LED module
- Australia — Install an SAA-certified driver + SAA-listed LED module
The housing doesn’t change. The certification is carried by the driver and the LED module, not by the housing itself. As long as the components fit physically and the thermal capacity is sufficient, you can pair any certified component with the same housing.
Why Complete Lamp Suppliers Can’t Do This
A complete lamp has the driver integrated at the factory. The certification is tied to the specific combination of housing + driver + LED module as tested. Change the driver, and the certification may no longer be valid. Want to sell the same lamp in a different market? You need a new certification — which means a new product, new testing, new stock.
What This Means for Your Inventory
Instead of stocking three different complete lamps for three markets, you stock:
- One housing model — universal across markets
- Drivers by market — sourced locally or from your own certified suppliers
- LED modules by market — same approach
Your housing inventory is simplified, concentrated, and always usable — regardless of which market your next order serves.
ECO LED Kit housing kits do not include drivers or LED modules. Customers source and install their own certified components.
