Everything you need to know about LED downlight housing kits

What is an LED downlight housing kit? +
An LED downlight housing kit (also called SKD kit) includes the heat sink, reflector or lens, spring clips, and mounting hardware — everything except the COB LED chip and driver. Importers and assemblers install their own LED and driver brand into our housing shell.
What IP rating do your housing kits have? +
All models in the current range are rated IP20 for indoor dry environments. We do not manufacture IP44 or IP65 waterproof housings — our focus is indoor commercial and residential recessed downlight applications.
What is the minimum order quantity? +
Standard MOQ is 100 sets per model. Trial orders can be negotiated down to 50 sets. Sample orders of 5–10 sets are available for qualified buyers — request one through our contact page.
How fast is sample delivery? +
In-stock samples ship within 3 business days. Custom-finish samples take 7–10 days. We use DHL or FedEx express — most international customers receive samples in 5–7 days.
What heat sink materials do you use? +
We use ADC12 die-cast aluminum (96 W/m·K) for standard recessed models, cold-forged aluminum (200–230 W/m·K) for deep anti-glare series, and extruded aluminum (200 W/m·K) for high-power applications up to 65W.
Can I customize the housing finish? +
Standard finishes are white and black. Custom options include sand white, sand black, gunmetal gray, and bright silver. Custom color MOQ is 500 sets per finish with a 15-day lead time.
What cutout sizes do your kits fit? +
Our housing range covers cutout diameters from Ø80mm (3.1") to Ø205mm (8.1"). The most common sizes are Ø105mm for 4" kits and Ø150mm for 6" kits. Check each product page for exact cutout dimensions.
